The content of the avalanche.ca and parks canada pages has been dumbed down to icons, with near zero information content.

Fortunately, the data from various weather stations in the parks are now available on parks website, somewhat buried, as Weather Stations
Unfortunately, most of the data is incomplete, dubious, or outright missing. If something on the graph looks really weird, please check the data source first. However, if you do notice any difference between the tabular data and the graphs, then please email us, we will at least try to fix our bugs in the parser.

Avalanche Danger Rating Frequency Distribution for 2006/2007 Season

This website is half-baked attempt to provide some avalanche forecasting information in graphical, human-friendly format which is missing on the "official" sites.

For the time being, available data are parsed from the avalanche bulletins for Glacier National Park, published by Parks Canada.

If you notice any link not working or graph not up to date (both Parks and the CAA seem to change the links and format of the documents few times every season), please let us know. Please email suggestions, bug reports, insults and donations to
